An evening to remember
Artistes of Sandipon Sangskritik Sangstha fascinated a huge audience at a programme organised to commemorate Tagore and Nazrul on Friday last.
Mymensingh Press Club organised the programme themed “Rabindra-Nazrul Swaron Utsab” at its auditorium.
Ustad Chayon Sen led the cultural show that included popular songs of the bards.
Earlier, a discussion was chaired by club vice-president advocate Mozammel Haque.
Professor Reazul Islam and writer Salim Hasan were the discussants while club secretary Md Babul Hossain delivered the welcome speech.
The speakers said that the two bards are priceless assets for Bengali Literature and the nation as their writings cut across many genres. They were also great philosophers, added the speakers.
Md Aminul Islam, convener of Sahitya-Sangskriti Sub-committee of the club anchored the programme.
