Star Melodies to commemorate birth centenary of legendary composer Abdul Ahad

Star Melodies, an initiative of The Daily Star promoting Bangla music, will host a celebration of the birth centenary of legendary composer Abdul Ahad by prominent and emerging singers on July 28, Saturday at 6:30 pm.

The event, which is to be held at The Daily Star-Bengal Arts Precinct of The Daily Star Centre, will feature songs by Sujit Mustafa, Anupama Mukti and Nandita. As a new initiative to involve students of different institutions across the city, students of Govt Music College will also get the opportunity to display their talents in the programme.

Sadya Afreen Mallick, Chief, Culture Initiatives, The Daily Star, will host and coordinate the programme sponsored by Dhaka Bank Ltd.

Invitation passes can be collected from the reception of The Daily Star Centre. Seats are limited.
