Shuchi's 'Noor-er Doriyaye' out now

Promising Nazrul Sangeet artiste Nahyan Durdana Shuchi's first solo album 'Noor-er Doriyaye' is now in music bazaar. The album, produced by G-Series, features nine tracks of Hamd, Naat and Islamic songs composed by Kazi Nazrul Islam.

The album contains records of tracks including Allah Amar Probhu, Aye Moru Parer Hawa, Khodar Prem-e, Mohammad-ed Naam, Moru Sahara, Noor-er Doriyaye, Roz Hashorey, Taoheed-i Murshid and Tora Dekhe Ja Amina.

“As our National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam's birth anniversary has fallen in the holy month of Ramadan, so I thought to publish an album of Hamd, Naat and Islamic songs composed by him. This is how I have tried to pay my tribute to the bard. Besides, we generally listen to such songs in this month. I hope the audience will like my album,” says Nahyan Durdana Shuchi.

Shuchi started taking lessons on Indian classical music at the age of six under the tutelage of Ustad Akhtar Sadmani. She later went to Chhayanaut where she is now a teacher at the Department of Nazrul Sangeet. Her Nazrul Sangeet gurus include Khairul Anam Shakil, Yakub Ali Khan, Khalid Hossain, Masuda Anam Kalpana, Nasima Shaheen and Bizon Chandra Mistry. An engineer by profession, Shuchi also performs adhunik and patriotic songs.
