Television’s tribute to Ayub Bachchu on his death anniversary

Ayub Bachchu was one of the juggernauts of band music in Bangladesh. On the occasion of his death anniversary, let us look at programmes that the top TV channels of the country have arranged in his honour.

 The talk show, Shei Tumi, will be aired on Desh TV at 9:45 pm tonight. It is produced by Alamgir Hossain and conceptualised by Fuad Naser Babu. The show will feature prominent faces of the music industry, such as  Bappa Mazumder, Manam Ahmed, Shahid Mahmud Jongi and Elita Karim. It will be hosted by actor Afzal Hossain.

Channel i will air a special programme titled, Smritir Dohon. Hosted by Tanvir Tarek, it is directed by Jamal Reza.  The programme will feature SI Tutul, Saidul Hasan Swapan, Latifur Rahman Shibli and Bappi Khan, who will share their memories of the maestro. The programme will be aired today at 4:40 pm. Another programme titled - Ayub Bacchu Shorone, will be aired at 12 noon today.

Deepto TV will air a special episode of Deepto Probhati, in honour of the musical legend. The episode will feature singer Hasib, and will air from 7 am today.
