Nazrul melodies adapted in theatre and movies

Star Melodies, an initiative of The Daily Star promoting Bangla music, will host a musical evening on Nazrul melodies adapted in theatre and movies by prominent and emerging singers on October 20, at 6:30 pm.

The event, to be held at The Daily Star – Bengal Arts Precinct of The Daily Star Centre, will feature songs by Yasmin Mushtari, Sheikh Jasim, Idris Ali, and Sushmita Anis. As a new initiative to involve students of different institutions across the city, students of Nazrul Institute will perform songs at the event.

Sadya Afreen Mallick, Chief, Culture Initiatives, The Daily Star, will host and coordinate the programme.

The programme is open to all. Invitation passes can be collected from the reception of The Daily Star Centre. Seats are limited.
