Channel i Band Fest takes place in memory of Ayub Bachchu

The 5th Channel i Band Fest lacked its inherently festive atmosphere that the crowd had been used to for years, as the festival mourned the loss of one of the greatest musicians Bangladesh has ever produced, Ayub Bachchu. 

The event was inaugurated at 10:30 am at Channel i premises, where its Director and Head of Communications, Shykh Seraj reminisced about the man who had taken Bangladeshi band music to new heights. 17 bands participated in the Band Fest, including the likes of Different Touch, Obscure, Dalchhut, Feedback, Artcell and LRB, which featured AB's son, Tazwar. The event was hosted by Apu Mahfuz, Shafi Ahmed and Dilruba Sathi, and was directed by Anonna Ruma.
