Popular K-pop band BTS has scored only one nomination for the 2022 Grammy Awards.

The Recording Academy officially announced this year's nominees recently, and BTS' hit song, "Butter", has been nominated for 2022 Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, marking their second nomination in the category.

BTS is nominated alongside Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's "I Get a Kick Out of You," Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco's "Lonely," Coldplay's "Higher Power" and Doja Cat and SZA's "Kiss Me More."

BTS was excluded from the coveted record and song of the year categories, even though "Butter" spent a whopping 10 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

BTS also participated in Tuesday's announcement by revealing the nominees for alternative music album.

BTS Army took to social media and expressed their sadness on BTS receiving just one nomination while others stated how it did not make any sense as the last year was among the most successful years for the boy band.

"#Scammys" and "BTS already won" trended worldwide on Twitter as BTS fans across the world are disappointed about the single nomination.
