Abida Sultana and Shouquat Ali Imon's beautiful collaboration

Abida Sultana

Two years back, renowned singer Abida Sultana lent her voice to the song, Fagune Elo Srabon, which was penned, composed and directed by her younger brother Shouquat Ali Imon, a popular musician himself.

The raga-based (Puriya Dhanashree) classics, in Abida's solo album Shopnil Moner Thikana is a great treat to music aficionados. Abida Sultana feels there is a really good understanding between her and her brother. “He understands me when I simply look at him; be it in a studio or during any stage performance. I have full confidence in him and I truly enjoy the experience when we collaborate,” she said.

On the other hand, Imon sees Abida as a mother figure in his life. “When she tells me to do something I become quite serious. I usually write very few songs. I wrote and composed this one based on Puriya Dhanashree,” he said.

A music video of the song has been uploaded on YouTube by Lithograph. Syed Ali Ahsan Liton directed the video with assistance from DOP Alim Ebad and editor Rafiqul Islam Rafi.
