Luipa records a romantic number

Popular singer Luipa rose to fame with the memorable cover of Begum Akhtar's original melody “Jochona Korechhe Aari”, and the Nazrul number “Amar Apnar Chheye Apon Je Jon”. Luipa has continued to win over the hearts of listeners since then, and currently she is readying herself for more new releases in March.

The singer will release a track written by Priyo Chattopadhyay and composed by Akash Sen titled “Gentleman”. Shooting for the music video has already been underway recently, at the stately zamidar estate at Manikganj. Popular actor Siyam Ahmed will portray the titular gentleman in the video, which is directed by Soumitra Ghosh Imon.

The video marks Luipa's first appearance with the actor, saying, “I usually sing melancholic songs, but I have sought to break free from that zone with my new song, which is a romantic number. I have always been a fan of Siyam's work, and feel quite thrilled to have him in my video.”

Actor Siyam Ahmed stated that the video will hearken back to a historical time in Bangladesh, with a sweet, romantic story at the heart of the narrative. “I believe listeners and viewers will be taken with the song and video from the first time they come across it, and I have high hopes regarding its success,” he added.
