“Kaifi Aur Main” tickets out

Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar's theatrical rendition of Shaukat Azmi's memoirs, “Kaifi Aur Main”, is coming to Dhaka on October 25. Blues Communication is organising the staging of the acclaimed production at KIB (Krishibid Institution Bangladesh) Complex Auditorium, Khamarbari in the capital. 

Tickets for the event are now available for physical and online purchase. Online tickets are available at jetechao.com while tickets outlets are Madchef (Dhanmondi and Banani branches) and Tabaq (Jamuna Future Park and Gulshan-1 branches). The prices of the tickets are Taka 5750 (Grand Circle) and Taka 2300 (Gallery). Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and ghazal artiste Jaswinder Singh will reach Dhaka on October 25 while rest of the team will reach on 24 October.

The production chronicles the life of Kaifi Azmi, eminent Indian poet credited with bringing Urdu literature to Indian cinema. It is adapted from his wife Shaukat Azmi's memoir and excerpts of interviews of Kaifi Azmi, and is directed by Ramesh Talwar. Their daughter Shabana Azmi and her husband Javed Akhtar take the centre-stage in the largely recitation and conversation-based production interspersed with songs written by Kaifi Azmi, performed by Jaswinder Singh.
