Joyanta's “Alor Amol Komol Khoni” launched

Young Tagore artiste Joyanta Acharjee's first solo album, “Alor Amol Komol Khoni”, was released recently at Chhayanaut Auditorium.

Trained under celebrated Tagore artiste Rezwana Chowdhury Banya at Shurer Dhara, Joyanta completed his BA and MA from Dhaka University's Music Department, and is now pursuing his MPhil there.Talking about his musical journey, he said, “Tagore's songs are sung commonly in my family, and this inspired me the most. Later, my guru Rezwana Chowdhury Banya brought the best out of me.”

Talking about the album, Joyanta also added, “The album has Tagore songs from Parjayas: Puja, Prem and Prakriti. The title of the album has been selected according to the ongoing autumn season.”

In the album launch ceremony, Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique and Rezwana Chowdhury Banya were present. Regarding the occasion, Joyanta said, “It is an honour and blessing for me to have such prominent figures as my well-wishers.”
