James and Sanam to perform in Dhaka today

Entertainment events organisation Entourage Entertainment are organising a concert featuring 'Nagar Baul' James and popular Indian pop band Sanam today, marking Valentine's Day. The concert, to be held at the Nabaratri Hall of International Convention City Bashundhara, aims to raise funds for underprivileged children of QRA School who educate children in the Karail slum in the capital, says a press release.

James' popularity as a musician, especially as a live performer, is unparalleled. One of the biggest names of the country's music scene of the 90s and early 2000s, he has found equal success with bands Feelings, Nagar Baul and as a solo artiste. His voice has transcended beyond borders, with success in Bollywood playback as well.

Sanam, a group of young musicians led by vocal Sanam Puri, has found immense success in India in recent years. They shot to stardom when their band, then called the SQS Project, won a nationwide pop band hunt in 2010, and has grown strength to strength.
