IGCC organises classical music soiree

IGCC organised an evening of Hindustani Classical Vocal Music by Saptak Chatterjee [of India] at Poet Sufia Kamal Auditorium, Bangladesh National Museum, Shahbagh, Dhaka on January 3.

The artiste rendered set off the event with the vilambit ektaal bandish “Piya Gun Bont” set on Raga Puriya. He later presented drut bandish “Piya Sang Laagi Lagan Mori Ali” of the raga on ektaal.

The singer later performed a chhoto khayal “Neera Bharan Kaise Jaoon Sakhi Aab” based on Raga Tilak Kamod and wrapped up his rendition through offering a Bhajan “Saadh Re Sur Ko Saadh Re”.

Abhishek Chatterjee [of India] on tabla, Bizon Mistry on harmonium  accompanied the singer.
