IGCC holds soiree of Tagore's monsoon melodies

Marking the 76th death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) organised an evening of Rabindra Sangeet titled “Borshar Gaan-e Rabindranath” by promising singers Swati Sarker, Avik Deb and Sumaya Imam at Poet Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the Bangladesh National Museum on August 5.

The artiste trio performed monsoon melodies composed by the great bard. Their presentation included songs “Eso Shyamolo Sundoro”, “Badolo Diner Prothomo”, “E Pothe Ami Je” “Aji Jhorojhoro Mukhoro”, “Nishitho Rater Badolodhara”, “Nil Anjonoghono”, “Shaono Gogoney”, “Megher Pore Megh”, “Mono Mor Megher” and “Aji Jhorer Ratey”.
