Elita begins new radio stint

Singer, journalist, radio jockey, occasional actress – Elita Karim juggles many roles seamlessly. The popular artiste began a new radio show last night, with Radio Shadhin 92.4FM, in a show titled “Maya Apa Ki Bole”. The 12-episode series in partnership with Brac and website maya.com.bd had its first episode air last night (Wednesday) from 11pm-1am, focusing on women's rights, gender issues, abuse and other problems. Women called in on the show and shared their experiences and sought suggestions on different matters.

Station in-charge of Radio Shadhin, Mir Rabby says that the show is informative and will help in creating awareness. In our society, women are faced with numerous issues that are keeping them from leading a healthy and regular life. The purpose of the show is to create a platform of awareness for all of these unknown hurdles.

Elita had been hosting “Gen X with Elita” on Radio Foorti for a while now (formerly called “Foorti Timeout with Elita”), but that show is on a hiatus as of now.
