Celebrating Life concert held at JU

Hundreds of young audience thronged Zahir Raihan Auditorium of Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Tuesday to enjoy a programme of The Daily Star- Standard Chartered Celebrating Life on the campus.

JU Teacher-Students Centre (TSC) hosted the programme where performances by bands Chirkutt and Doob were staged.

JU Vice Chancellor Prof. Farzana Islam inaugurated the cultural event as chief guest while Prof. Bashir Ahmed, director of TSC, was also present.

A daylong photography exhibition of Celebrating Life was held at the Zahir Raihan Auditorium corridor and films of Celebrating Life were screened at the auditorium. At the exhibition, 50 winning photography and nine films were displayed.

Festival director of The Daily Star-Standard Chartered Celebrating Life, Rafi Hossain and Bitopi Das Chowdhury, Country Head of Corporate Affairs of Standard Chartered Bank, were also present at the events.
