Sadia Islam Mou's talents are many-pronged. From carving out a reputation on the ramp to the small and big screens, the actor-model is a renowned dancer. Now, after 22 years, the artiste is set to put on her dancing shoes across international shores. In a government-backed initiative, Mou will travel to South Korea to perform at the 12th Migrants Arirang Multicultural Festival from September 29-October 1.

The artiste left for her destination last night along with seven other dancers from BAFA, including Farhana Chowdhury Baby, Farhana Khan, Hena Hossain, Supriya Shabnam Prova, Abdur Rashid Swapan, Lutifur Rahman Farooqi and Wahiuddin Nayeem.

“After marriage and children, I became so busy that when such opportunities came my way, I had to turn them down. It gives me much happiness to be able to finally take the chance. Representing my country abroad gives me pride, and I look forward to making wonderful memories there,” stated Mou. The artiste also informed that the costumes for their performances were designed by Biplob Saha.

Mou's last performance abroad took place in Turkey 1995. She was last seen on TV in Arif Khan-helmed drama series “Take A Break”, alongside Tanvin Sweety and Tania Ahmed, which aired during Eid ul Fitr on SATV, as well as other Eid ventures directed by Mazharul Islam, Kaushik Shankar Das, Nazmul Emon and Abu Hayat Mahmud.
