Majhi International Art Residency

Majhi International Art Residency, organised by Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation and supported by Lightbox, a Venice based organisation, completed their 14-day residency yesterday. Today, the show will be launched at Combo,Venice. The show will be open for all from August 4-11. The six participating artists from Bangladesh are Dhali Al Mamoon, Dilara Begum Jolly, Noor Ahmed Gelal, Uttam Kumar Karmaker, Rajaul Islam Lovelu and Kamruzzaman Shadhin. The other artists are David Dalla Venezia, Cosima Montavoci, Andrea Morucchio, Chiara Tubia and Umut Yasat. The residency programme was curated by Caterina Corni from Italy and the cataloguer was Laura Ammann from Brazil. The whole show was organised by Bangladeshi art collector Durjoy Rahman Joy.
