Jyotika Jyoti’s ‘Rajlokkhi O Srikanto’ to be released in Kolkata

Television and film actor Jyotika Jyoti’s first film in Kolkata, Rajlokkhi O Srikanto, will be released on September 20 this year. The film is directed by national award-winning director Pradipta Bhattacharya. The plot is based on Sharat Chandra Chattyapadhya’s classic novel Srikanta, which is also partially an auto-biography. Jyoti will be seen as Rajlokkhi, and the role of Srikanta will be played by Ritwick Chakroborty.

The story has been adapted to the current timeline, and it depicts a journey, both physical and spiritual. It also portrays a political and economic crisis. Rajlokkhi O Srikanto contains sporadic references to Bangladesh. Jyoti is very excited for this film, “I have worked really hard for this film, and the wait is finally over. I hope the audience will like the film; their appreciation will pay off my hard work,” she says.

Although this is Jyoti’s first film in Kolkata, she has previously been featured in prominent films of Bangladesh, including Jibondhuli, Ayna, Anil Bangchir Ekdin and Nondito Noroke.
