It's True!

In 1939, John Norling shot “Tune In Tomorrow”, the first-ever commercial 3D film (using Polaroid) in the US. The 15-minute film premiered at the 1939 New York World's Fair. In it, a full 1939 Chrysler Plymouth car is magically put together, set to music. Originally in black and white, the film was so popular that it was re-shot in colour for the following year at the fair, under the title “New Dimensions”. In 1953, it was reissued as “Motor Rhythm”.
