Tisha has been on a winning streak in recent years. After starring in many critically acclaimed films, the National Award Winner is now working on a new television series. In a recent interview with The Daily Star, the actor reveals more about her new project, future plans and more.

How long has it been since you worked in a regular series?

It's been around four to four and a half years since my last regular serious on television. We filmed in Manikganj, on a boat, in nearby villages- it was beautiful! It's a family drama, and the project belongs to UNICEF. Many renowned artistes are also involved here, and it will be aired on BTV.

Is there a reason why you decided to work in this particular project?

There is no particular reason. I was busy with films and single episode tele-fictions in recent years. I chose this project because it has a social cause, and also because of the fact that I never had the opportunity to work in a venture by BTV before.

What else are you currently working on?

I have decided not to work on anything else for a while, as I am busy with events of sorts. However, I am currently in talks to appear in a few new films, for which I am yet to read the scripts.

Do you think that your responsibilities have changed since winning the National Film Award?

As an artiste, you can never escape responsibilities. However, winning the award did create the need to perform even better. I am even more selective in what I do now.

Could you tell us a bit about your new film project, 'Shonibaar Bikele'?

I try to make sure that each character I embody is new and different, and it has been the same for this film as well. But that's all I can say. With regards to release dates, our director will be able to share more.

A new ad-film that you starred in has become very popular. Tell us about it.

For the second time, I have been selected to become the brand ambassador for a renowned telecom company. The concept explored by the TVC is something rare for us to see, and so therefore it has been very popular. Chanchal Chowdhury is my co-star in the venture. I have four more similar projects coming up.

'Doob' has been selected as the Bangladeshi entry for the Oscars. How does this make you feel?

As an artiste, this makes me immensely happy, as it is the only film entry from Bangladesh this year.
