“Mukhosh Manush” facing criticism even before release

Nawsheen making debut on the big screen

Nawsheen, who started her career as an anchor, came up with a number of hit TV plays soon after entering the world of acting. She has ventured into modeling and of late, the actress made her debut in films, with the movie set for release this month. “Mukhosh Manush” also stars Hillon and Kalyan, and is directed by Yasir Arafath Jewel.

The actress talked about her latest ventures and more in a recent conversation with The Daily Star:

Tell us about your debut on the silver screen.

Nawsheen:
“Mukhosh Manush” has an unusual plot. It will be released on December 30. I am very excited about it as it is my first film. I request my fans to go to the cinema hall to watch the movie.

Do you think the film has more than just entertainment value?

Nawsheen:
We have tried to impart a message through “Mukhosh Manush”; it is a story based on cyber crime. It's a story of how 30-minute footage can ruin a family entirely. We as artistes have some responsibility towards society and I feel the production will deliver an important message to the young generation.

There is some criticism that the film is already facing. What is that about?

Nawsheen:
Criticism has poured in right after people watched the teaser. I call upon the critics to watch the entire movie. It has a good plot and I believe after watching the film critics will be silenced.

What's your expectation from the project?

Nawsheen:
I'm very hopeful about its success. I acted as an artiste rather than a mere heroine. I gave all my efforts to my role.

Will you be a regular on the big screen?

Nawsheen:
I want to be seen more often, but it all depends on good plots, characters and skilled directors.

What else is on your schedule at the moment?

Nawsheen:
I just returned from Sirajganj after shooting for a one-hour TV play. I'm now doing serials mostly. I took a break in between but now I'm working in full swing.
