Aparna Ghose came, saw and conquered with her talent and charm in the television industry. Her work as a lead in the Liberation War based Bhuban Majhi was also praised heavily by the audience. At the moment, the diva is as busy as ever with various projects, the details of which she discusses with The Daily Star.

Tell us about the projects you're currently working in.

Since this is December, the month of victory, I am doing two tele-fictions based on the Liberation War. However, the two air on BTV and a private television channel respectively, and will have completely different kinds of stories.

Does it feel any different when you're in a project based on the Liberation War?

Honestly, it is an amazing feeling, that I can't quite articulate. These are the times that I can profoundly feel the love for my country, and I wish that I could work in more projects as such. I cherish these times.

What about your regular television serials?

I am working in regular dramas titled Pagla Hawa and Akashe Megh Nei, both of which are being aired on BanglaVision. The response that I am getting for them is quite flattering as well.

'Bhuban Majhi' still screens in theatres every December. How do you feel about that?

Bhuban Majhi is a film that I am extremely proud of. I was praised heavily for my role there, and the film garnered a lot of acclaim in international film festivals as well. I am still spellbound, whenever I watch the film.

Why don't we see you in films more often?

I just have one requirement: the script has to be good. I will never work in a film unless I like the script. A lot of projects are coming my way, but I will only sign if I feel like the script is up to the mark.
