Wolverine hits the road with Professor X in the first 'Logan' trailer

Hugh Jackman is back in Marvel’s new upcoming movie- Logan, as a post-X-Men Wolverine. Our first look at Old Man Logan comes with a side Johnny Cash, whose memorable cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt" is effective here, if a little on the nose, reports Mashable.

Set a year after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past, we greet a Logan who has cast off his Wolverine mantle and the violent behavior that came with it. But he's drawn back into the fight — with a little help from good, old Professor X (Patrick Stewart) — when a global threat to all the mutants surfaces.

Based on this first trailer, Logan has the look of a comic book fantasy-fueled road movie. The underlying threat might loom large, but this is no super team-up spectacle on the scale of an X-Men or Avengers.

Logan arrives in theaters on March 3.
