Siam's first venture into films

Popular young television actor Siam Ahmed will be away from Dhaka, his home and his family for over a month. This entire month he will be busy shooting for his first ever film. While waiting for filming to begin, Siam spent his time making the rounds of relatives and seeking their blessings for his first venture on the silver screen.

The world of filmdom  has always had an attraction for Siam. “My interest for films grew when I began acting for TV plays. I was just waiting for the right opportunity. The opportunity came with the announcement of making “Poramon 2”, produced by Jaaz Multimedia and directed by Raihan Rafi,” says Siam. The team has recently traveled to Meherpur to shoot.

In the film, Siam will be playing the role of protagonist Sujon Shah. Amongst newcomers on television, Siam is one of the more popular faces and one of the first to bag a film role. His avatar as a film actor has been welcomed by his friends and family. “Even though my parents weren't keen on my acting career at the beginning, they ultimately realized that I was doing the right thing. I took the challenge of convincing them to let me be a part of this film, and I hope they won't be disappointed this time either,” says Siam. His understanding and coordinating with director Raihan Rafi was also a new and grand experience for him.

“I had never imagined I would be welcomed into the film industry so warmly right after receiving my first ever role. I have faith in myself, and I feel that doing well is now my responsibility.” The young actor firmly believes that it is good luck that has paved the way into the industry for him.
