Exciting films in the works

The film industry is always busy with shooting, to varying degrees. Sometimes, the lack of good films discourages the audience from stepping into theatres. However, past records are testament to the fact that if a film is, indeed good, the audience is quick to pick up on it and swarm theatres, making it a blockbuster. Some exciting films are being shot at the moment, with big names in the industry making appearances in them .

Gias Uddin Selim, who earned a place in the hearts of moviegoers with Monpura and Swapnajaal, is shooting for his latest film, Paap Punno. It features the star-studded cast of Chanchal Chowdhury, Siam Ahmed, Afsana Mimi, Farzana Chumki and Fazlur Rahman Babu, among others. “We are trying our best to give the audience a remarkable film,” says Gias Uddin Selim, “Paap Punno will not be like Monpura, it will have its own identity.”

For the first time, young sensation Puja Cherry and renowned television actor Sajal will be seen as a pair in Jin. Directed by Nader Chowdhury, the actors are hopeful for the film. “We won’t disclose the plot of Jin right now. However, I am sure that the audience will like it,” says Sajal.

Poran will feature Bidya Sinha Mim and the latest hero in town, Yash Rohan. “The script is the heart of any film, and this one is amazing,” says Yash, who is audibly excited for Poran. Mim added that this film is everything that the audience would want in a film.

Chayanika Chowdhury’s Bishwo Shundori is also one to watch out for, featuring Siam Ahmed and Pori Moni. The dream duo, who are working together for the first time, is bound to bring the audience to halls. The shooting for the film is nearing its end.

Nusraat Faria and Tisha will star opposite Bappy Chowdhury in Dhaka 2040. Directed by Dipankar Dipon of Dhaka Attack fame, it looks to be another blockbuster with its stellar cast.

Aynabaji famed director, Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, will present his new film, Rickhsaw Girl, soon. The film looks to be a welcome addition to the industry, featuring newcomer Novera Rahman as the lead.
