Cinema halls to remain open

Previously, Bangladesh Motion Picture Exhibitors Association stated that without the intervention of the government regarding the policies of importing foreign films and encouraging more local films, cinema halls across the country will remain closed from April 12. However, yesterday President of Bangladesh Motion Picture Exhibitors Association, Iftekharuddin Naushad, confirmed that the closing of halls from April 12 has been postponed. “On Information Minister, Muhammad Hasan Mahmud's request, we came to this decision,” said Iftekharuddin Naushad.
