Jaya Ahsan in a new Tollywood film

National award winning actor Jaya Ahsan is off to Kolkata, India to do a role in upcoming Tollywood film “Eagle-er Chokh-e”, directed by Arindam Sheel.

Adapting from Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay's eponymous novel, shooting for the film will start at the end of this month.

“It is an excellent detective story." said Jaya who will enact the role of Shibangi in the film.       

How well prepared is she to take on the challenge of doing another Tollywood film? "I have done excellent groundwork. I would like to thank the director of the film for selecting me.” 

Jaya has just completed shooting for the film titled “Putra” in Dhaka. “Putra”, directed by Saiful Islam Mannu, is a film designed for differently-abled children and Jaya Ahsan plays the role of a teacher. It is an emotional film according to Jaya.  

On the other hand, she has completed shooting for another Bangladeshi film "Kha(n)cha", directed by Akram Khan, in Narail. The film revolves around the partition of 1947.

Jaya has recently been to Kolkata for shooting the Tibet Beauty Snow TVC.
