Film to be made on ‘Didimoni’

The popular rock song ‘Didimoni’, by James, dedicated to the female garment workers had won the hearts of the audience. National Film Award winner Rezaul Rezu, inspired by the song, will be directing the film, Didimoni.

Rezu is the youngest South Asian filmmaker to receive the National Film Award, for his first film Baapjaner Bioscope. The script of Didimoni is also written by him.

The shooting of the film will start from February. The action movie is based on the lives of the female garment workers. “I am a huge fan of James. Mainly the song, ‘Didmoni’ inspired me to make this film,” said Rezu. The cast will be announced soon, he adds.
