Ali Imam, writer and audio-visual organiser, and Dr Jahangir Kabir, a renowned cardiac surgeon, attended the inaugural ceremony as special guests.

Toma has used impressionistic colours to create an assortment of artworks on display. One of her mixed-media work titled 'Nidra' is evocative of a graceful oriental art as she portrayed it with pristine lines, precise colour separation and an illusion of light and shade.

The painter's 'Andaman' series deserves accolades. The series is dreamy and mysterious, as it depicts th beauty of aquatic life. Toma's paintings also carry a nuance of Bengal's history and its glorious political movement.

The exhibition, opening daily from 3 pm to 8 pm, will continue till October 10.
