Ropbandho at Gallery Cosmos
Five contemporary artists make their mark
Gallery Cosmos is organising the inaugural ceremony of a 10-day art exhibition of five contemporary artists by Charkon titled 'Ropbandho' on September 4 at 6 pm at Gallery Cosmos-2. The artists whose works will feature at the exhibition are Shulekha Chaudhury, Nazmul Ahsan, Salma Zakia Bristy, Farzana Ripa and Afrozaa Jamil Konka. There will be 45 art works on display.
Pema Choden, Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh, M Azizul Huq, managing director, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Bangladesh Limited and eminent artist Professor Abul Barq Alvi inaugurated the show.
Charkon or four corners is the brainchild of four friends. Farzana Ripa, Shulekha Chaudhury, Salma Zakia Bristy and Nazmul Ahsan. Graduates of the Fine Art Institute of Dhaka University, the foursome aim to further their creative evolution. This is the first exhibition of Charkon. Afrozaa Jamil Konka is participating as guest artist at the exhibition
This exhibition will remain open from 4-13 September 2015 between 11 am-7 pm.
