‘Simple Pleasures of Life’ concludes

A two-day photography exhibition by the employees of Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) titled, Simple Pleasures of Life, ended recently at Alliance Française de Dhaka.

Gruetzmacher-Tecourt Frank, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of France to Bangladesh attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest.

This was the sixth edition of such exhibitions organised by EBL.

To initiate greater engagement with the brand and to encourage the art of photography among employees, EBL initiated the photography contest and exhibition in 2012. In 2018, the quality of submissions was highly praised by the jury consisting of Hasan Saifuddin Chandan, Bashir Ahmed Sujan and Masuma Pia. The theme for this year’s competition was ‘Haats and Bazaars of Bangladesh.’

The exhibition captured the colours, verve and uniqueness of the marketplace of Bangladesh. EBL employees through their cameras recorded the variety of haats and bazaars of Bangladesh, including the Iftar Bazaar of Chawk Bazar and the cattle haat of Eid Ul Adha.
