22nd BYPAC opens exhibition

Eminent artists and guests inaugurate the exhibition.

A 5 day-long exhibition of the paintings of the 22nd Berger Young Painters' Art Competition (BYPAC) 2017 was inaugurated by Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, at Zainul Gallery, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, on November 21. 

Out of 482 competing paintings in the 22nd BYPAC, the top 40, including the 6 award winning artworks are being exhibited. 

Chairman of Jury Committee of 22nd BYPAC--eminent artist Monirul Islam, lifetime achievement award winner of 22nd BYPAC -- renowned artist Mahmudul Haque and Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, Senior General Manager --Sales and Marketing, Berger Paints were present on the occasion. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Abdus Shakoor Shah, Event Advisor of BYPAC; honorable members of the Jury Committee, including Professor Nisar Hossain, Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, faculty members of FFA, DU and officials of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, participants of the competition and several renowned artists of the country. 

The six winners of BYPAC 2017 are Urmi Roy (1st), Zeba Faria (2nd), Mong Mong Sho (3rd), Sultana Sharmin (4th), Suraya Akter (5th) and Nowshin Tarannum (6th). 

The exhibition will be open for all during November 21-25, at Gallery (Gallery 1) of Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka from 10 am to 8 pm every day.
