Cancel all your plans for this evening, because the Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef 2015 is finally here. Tonight at 9pm, the show returns for the second season running and this time it is bigger, better and bolder. Following the internationally-set standards for a culinary show, Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef leaves no stone unturned this season, with a guarantee of entertainment.

After holding auditions all over the country, the 60 best among the contestants have all been brought to Dhaka where they will kick-start the competition with a freestyle cook-off competition. Of the 60, 18 will be selected from the cook-off to take part in the central round of the competition. With so few spots up for grabs, each and every one of the participants will have to be at their best because even the slightest slip-up may spell the end of the line. At this level, there can be no mistakes and the judges will be there to remind the participants of just that.

Shaheda Yesmin, the head of culinary school Jewel's Kitchen, returns for the second season of Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef. The participants must know that this is the judge to impress. With her experience in the show, Shaheda Yesmin has already seen almost everything there is to be seen in this show and will not be moved easily. Thankfully though, of the judges, she is known to often-times display instances of motherly affection, so the participants need to be aware of this.

Noted actor Tariq Anam Khan will be the second judge in the show. A foodie for as long as he remembers, Tariq Anam Khan is known to be picky about what he eats, with the taste and fragrance of the food of particular significance for the judge. The judges' panel will be rounded off by Tazzammul Huq Tareq, head chef of Watercress Hotel. With Stone Cold Steve Austin looks and attitude and a wealth of experience gathered the world over, Tazammul is a force to be reckoned with. Hard to please, dubbed 'the man that never smiles', participants will face a hard time pleasing this particular judge.

So, what happens tonight exactly? A freestyle cook-off with a five minute preparation period, the participants will be racing against time throughout. Mistakes will happen but that's the thing, isn't it? A Super Chef is allowed no room for mistakes. With an expansive pantry at their disposal, expect some gorgeous and out of the box creations. Tune in to ntv tonight at 9pm and catch the very first episode of The Daily Star-Rupchanda Super Chef 2015. The programme has been produced by Wahidul Islam Shuvrow and presented by Naziba Basher.
