Sharmin crowned winner of Banglar Gaan

The celebrities recognised for their contributions by channel i.

After six months of stiff competition, Mymensingh's Sharmin has emerged as the winner of Aarang Dairy- Channel i Banglar Gaan.   Her victory was based on SMS votes and ratings by viewers and jury.

Sharmin was one of 60,000. She received her prize from prominent personality Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, chairperson of BRAC; Faridur Reza Sagar, managing director of Impress Telefilms and Channel i; Shykh Seraj, director and head of news of Channel i; director Mukit Mazumdar along with the director of BRAC Dairy and Food Enterprises- Taufiqur Rahman; MD of Universal Food Ltd- Sohani Hossain, queen of Bangla folk music, Momtaz, legendary singer Runa Laila along with the celebrated judges of the show Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya and Ayub Bachchu.

Sir Fazle Hasan Abed said that the popularity of the show was evident as viewers and guests had made time to attend the event. He expressed positive views on the competition and extended his gratitude to the organisers for a competition that promoted Bangla folk music.

The first runner of  the competition is Muhammad Khairul Islam and second runners up are Ananya Isam Ankan and Al Amin Ali.
