Project Pothchola presents 'Mogoj Dholai 2.0'

Project Pothchola, an initiative by Bandhu Foundation of Bangladesh, organised the second season of their book reading event titled, 'Mogoj Dholai 2.0' powered by First Security Islami Bank Limited (FSIB). The event took place recently in the Bangladesh Shishu Academy premises in Dhaka.

54 children, aged between 9 and 16, from underprivileged backgrounds, participated in the event. The children were from different organisations, including Lal Shobuj Foundation, Procheshta Foundation, Bidyanondo, Asroy, Leaping Boundaries and Shishuder Jonno Amra.

Two weeks before the event, the children were provided with four popular books to read, namely Botol Bhoot, Bigyani Anik Lumba, Gupto Uddan and Robinson Crusoe.

Sadia Rahman, the Director of Project Pothchola, believes that by reading story books, children can expand the horizon of their imagination and sharpen their minds. During the event, the participants took quizzes on the books which were conducted by a panel of judges. It was followed by some fun segments such as puzzle-solving and treasure hunts based on the books. The event engaged the children in brainstorming and constructive activities that were intended not only for their entertainment, but also for encouraging their reading habits.
