Indo-Bangla cultural exchange programme held in Moulvibazar

The Indo-Bangla cultural exchange programme was held recently at Homerjan Ema Limeren Sidabi temple of Adampur Union, in Kamalganj, Moulvibazar. The event was organised by Bangladesh Porai Apokapa Morp (BPAM), in association with Institute of Postgraduate Studies in Agriculture (IPSA).

The event was presided over by Kankham Nilmani Singh, President of BPAM and coordinated by Manivhadra Singh.

Nazia Shirin, Deputy Commissioner of Moulvibazar, attended the programme as the chief guest. Sandeep Kumar Singh, Office Director, Divisional Social Service Office, Sylhet, Jaychandra Kanthajam, President, International Peace and Social Advancement in Manipur, Lubna Mariom, Director, Sadhona Shankriti Centre, Upendra Sharma, Director, Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy and Jayanta Kumar Singh, Convener, Adampur Manipuri Cultural Complex were also in attendance as special guests, among others.

Oinam Pamhaiba Nirmal, General Secretary of BPAM, delivered the welcome speech, and presented uttorios and crests to the guests. After the general meeting, a cultural programme was held.

Students of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, a dance troupe from World Thanta Federation, along with folk music artistes Dona Narangbaum and Lansana Chanu presented Manipuri dance routines at the event.
