Bangladesh pavilion opens at Venice Biennale

The 58th edition of the Venice Biennale, one of the oldest and most prestigious art events in the world, started off yesterday. Pavilion of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, for the third consecutive time, is proudly exhibiting the artworks by Bangladeshi artists -- Bishwajit Goswami, Nazia Andaleeb Preema, Ra Kajol, Gazi Nafis Ahmed and Uttam Kumar Karmaker along with guest artists --Heidi Fosli, Franco Marrocco, Domenico Pellegrino and Sandro Varagnolo at Palazzo Zenobio-Collegio Armeno Moorat Raphael Dorsoduro 2596 Venice, Italy. Liaquat Ali Lucky, DG, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, is the commissioner of the exhibition titled Thirst while Mokhlesur Rahman and Viviana Vannucci are the curators of the show that will run until November 24.
