Nazrul death anniv observed in Barisal

The observance of 41 death anniversary of National Poet  Kazi Nazrul  Islam in Barisal ended in the week prior to Eid. 

Participants of the programme paid heartiest tributes to the Rebel Poet for his revolutionary role in life, literature and culture of the nation. To mark the day, Nazrul Sangiskritic Jote(NSJ) Barisal organised a discussion on life and works of the poet and staged cultural functions with songs, recitations, dance and by him or based on his works at Ashwini Kumar Hall. Ziaul Haque, Chairman of Barisal Education Board, inaugurated the programme.

DC of Barisal, Md. Habibur Rahaman was present at the programme as chief guest. Papia Jesmin, NSJ president presided over the meeting. Among others, Sanjida Masud and Gopal Krishna Guha Ripon addressed the programme.
