Gono-Sangeet festival in Manikganj
Shuvendu Maiti accorded reception
Manikganj district unit of Udichi Shilpi Goshthi organised Gono Sangeet Utshab in Manikganj on Saturday evening.
Renowned Gono-Sangeet singer and researcher from India Shuvendu Maiti inaugurated the festival at central Shaheed Minar premises. Well known Gono-Sangeet personality Taposhi Roy Chowdhury, journalist Dipankar Gautam, Udichi district unit president Gazi Wazed Alam and general secretary Shyamal Karmaker were present at the inaugural function.
Shuvendu Maiti along with guest artistes and members of Manikganj district unit of Udichi Shilpi Goshthi performed songs at the festival.
The organisation also accorded a reception to Shuvendu Maiti for his outstanding contributions.
Earlier, training in Gono-Sangeet was held at Manikganj district sports auditorium attended by around 100 children.
