When a music maestro contributes his skills to a biopic on a cricket maestro, it is only natural that the entertainment industry will be agog.

Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman has scored the music for the upcoming biopic on Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar. Directed by James Erskine, “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” chronicles the journey of the 43-year-old master blaster while bringing out a few aspects of his life which have never been heard or seen before.

According to Rahman, the music of the film will reflect Tendulkar's journey from childhood to cricketing icon.

“The music will reflect his childhood days till the point he became a legend. I am excited for it. That's one of the most-awaited films of the year. So many people are looking forward to it,” Rahman told the media this past week.

“So far, whatever I have seen, it has turned out to be a really beautiful movie. But they're still making it. So the work is on,” the composer added.

Apart from this, Rahman will also be teaming up with filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker for his next project “Mohenjo Daro” starring Hrithik Roshan and newcomer Pooja Hegde. Rahman had earlier collaborated with Gowariker in films like “Lagaan”, “Swades” and “Jodha Akbar”.

“'Mohenjo Daro' is completely different. It is really a unique movie. It has got a lot of romance in it. And whatever I saw I really liked it. I wish the best to all of us.”

“Mohenjo Daro” is a love story set in the Indus Valley civilisation. Reportedly, the film is about the protagonist falling in love with his enemy's daughter. The film is slated to release on August 12.
