A collective approach towards art and artists

BIN Art Event 2017 held in Nepal

BIN, an organization that abbreviates the name of three countries – Bangladesh, India, Nepal -- organised an international art camp and exhibition that was held at Nepal Art Council in Kathmandu, Nepal last month. Bangladeshi artist Nasima Khanam Queenie was the curator of the workshop, participated by artists of the three countries.

Mashfee Binte Shams, High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Nepal graced the event as chief guest. The High Commissioner, along with Ragini Upadhyay, Chancellor, Nepal Academy of Fine Arts jointly inaugurated the exhibition.

“BIN International Art Camp and Exhibition has been organised to bring together artists of Bangladesh, India and Nepal together. It is a welcome initiative to showcase the depth and variety of talent in the field of visual arts that exists in this part of the world,” said Mashfee Binte Shams.

Nagendra Pd. Paudyal, event director; Elham Huq Khuku, event coordinator and curator Nasima Khanam Queenie were among others who spoke at the event. 

The participating artists at the event included Vinod Sharma, Lok Chitrakar, Madan Chitrakar, Ragini Upadhyay, Ratan Kumar Rai, Shashi Bikram Shah, Professor Dr Farida Zaman, Ranjit Das, Elham Haq Khuku, I B Malla, Istiaque Talukder Sunny, Nagendra Pd. Paudyal, N. B. Gurung, Nasima Khanam Queenie, Nazia Masud Khan, Pak Bahadur Thapa, Ram Pujan Thakur, Rebika Shakya, Reeta Manandhar, Rokshana Akhter Banu, Samjhana Rajbhandari, Sapna Poudel, Sarder Md. Bakiruddin, S. C. Suman and Surem Desar.
