Salman Khan, who was sentenced to five years' imprisonment by a Mumbai sessions court in the 2002 hit-and-run case which was later suspended by the Bombay high court, is shooting in Kashmir for five days, for Kabir Khan's “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, opposite Kareena Kapoor.

The superstar reached Srinagar on Monday after the Mumbai high court suspended his sentence.  “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” is one of the two Salman Khan films which are in the last schedule of shooting. Film trade experts had said that about Rs 200 crore was riding on Salman Khan.

Salman, who is on a 40-day schedule in the valley, had left for Mumbai last week leaving a 300-member crew waiting for his return. “There is a lot of happiness in the crew to have Bhaijan back,” said a crew member.

Salman was likely to shoot for the introductory song for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, “Selfie song”. Remo D'Souza has choreographed the song while Pritam has composed the music.

The actor, who has been in Kashmir since April 19, has adopted a 75-year-old widow Zaina Begum's family. The family had earlier informed that Salman had promised to take her grandson to Mumbai and also make a house for her. The star had already sent four truckloads of construction material to Begum's house.
