Mallika Sherawat attacked in Paris home

Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat was reportedly tear-gassed and beaten up by three masked intruders in her Paris apartment block, reports Hindustan Times.

Sherawat, who has been making inroads into international films, was attacked by three masked intruders who, ‘without saying a word, sprayed their victims with tear gas before punching them’, Hindustan Times quotes Le Parisien where the report first appeared.

She arrived at the apartment block on Friday, November 11 with an unidentified male friend. They immediately called the emergency services once the attackers fled.

The attack comes barely a month after reality star Kim Kardashian faced a similar mugging in October.

The report in Le Parisien goes on to say: “The attackers then ran away, leaving a shocked Sherawat and her friend to call the emergency services. A criminal investigation has been launched, with detectives working on the theory that the assailants were attempting a robbery.”
