Arrest warrant for Kishoreganj Razakar

A tribunal in Dhaka ordered to arrest war crimes suspect Syed Mohammad Hassan alias Hassan Ali for his alleged crimes against humanity in Kishoreganj during the country's Liberation War.

The move came after prosecution sought arrest warrant against Hassan, who was an alleged commander of the then Pakistani collaborating force Razakar in Kishoreganj, before the tribunal so that he cannot leave the country.

The prosecution filed the petition after investigators found two incidents in which three people were killed in Tarail area of Kishoreganj in 1971, said Prosecutor Mokhlesur Rahman Badol.

The International Crimes Tribunal-1 led by Justice Enayetur Rahim also ordered to prosecution to submit the investigation report on May 15.

The probe against the suspect began on June 6, 2013.

His father, Moslem Uddin was the president of the Peace Committee in the district during the Liberation War.
