Armeen releases single “Graceland”

Armeen releases single “Graceland”

Armeen Musa, the talented Bangladeshi singer-musician who has just graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA), is gearing up to release her new album “Simultaneously” in a couple of months. As part of that, she released the first single from that album, “Graceland”, recently in a live performance at the Berklee College. The song is also making rounds on the internet, on Youtube and Facebook, where Armeen's page has undertaken an interesting strategy. Her page offers to send every person who shares the video, a 'mystery song' sent to their message inbox; every person gets a different song.

“Graceland” is a mellow, melodic piece about a person who has traveled to another part of the world, and is balancing their dreams and struggles. The video also has a relaxed, home-video like feel to it, with Armeen and her band performing the song to a small audience. The video works very well in terms of accentuating the mood of the song, and the song itself makes for good listening.
