Another Laxmipur arson victim dies

Another arson victim, injured in a petrol bomb attack in Laxmipur yesterday, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital today.

Kamal Hossain, 35, was declared “brought dead” when he was taken to the DMCH around 4:00am, said Mozammel Haque, in-charge of DMCH police camp.

A pick-up van driver, Kamal was burnt when miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at his vehicle around 7:00pm yesterday.

With this, the death toll in political violence climbed to 48 with the latest arson as of today. At least 29 people among the victims dead so far were innocent without any reported ties to politics.
