AL man attacks schoolteacher

A schoolteacher was injured in an attack allegedly by a local Awami League leader at Gachur bazar in Sadullapur upazila on Tuesday night.

Headmaster of Khordakomarpur Girls' High School Oliur Rahman Borhan was admitted to Gaibandha Sadar Hospital with injuries in his back.

Borhan and Khordakomarpur union AL president Shahidullahel Kabir Faruk, brother of school managing committee president Feroz Kabir, engaged in an altercation over recruitment of librarian at 9:00pm.

At one stage, Faruk attacked the headmaster with a scissor taken from an adjacent saloon, said assistant teacher of the school Aminul Islam.
