AL calls for resisting 'March for Democracy'

Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam on Thursday urged all pro-liberation forces to resist the December 29 Dhaka March called by the opposition.

In a press statement this evening, Ashraf, also LGRD and cooperatives minister, said the countrymen should not respond to any call by the anti-liberation forces.
He said rather the people along with all pro-liberation forces should resist the opposition programme which is declared to hamper law and order.
Earlier on Tuesday, Khaled Zia, chairperson of BNP and chief of the 18-party alliance headed by the party, declared the "March for Democracy" from a press conference.
