State minister for home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today warned that the law enforcers would take necessary measures if BNP-led 20-party alliance creates anarchy in the name of rally on January 5.
However, he did not say whether the party would be allowed to hold its programme to mark the January 5 as “democracy killing day.”
“Today is only the second date of this month. There is still time until January 5,” he said.
“We are not sensing any chaos ahead of BNP rally on January 5. The party will be denied permission if there is any possibility for such chaotic situation,” he added.
He was talking to reporters at a four-day fair on the occasion of eighth Hajj and Umrah at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka this morning.
